What is Climate Anxiety?

Climate anxiety is the emotional distress or fear caused by the ongoing climate crisis. This distress is usually related to environmental future, such as extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and ecosystem loss. People with climate anxiety may feel overwhelmed by the scale of the problem and uncertain about what lies ahead. Climate anxiety can include a broad range of emotions such as hopelessness, fear, guilt, shame, grief, loss, and helplessness.
