
7 Principles Workshop

Developed by the Gottman Insitute, the Seven Principles Workshop is an educational workshop being offered across the US and internationally, and has strengthened the relationships of tens of thousands of couples.​
The workshop is designed to help couples improve their friendship and fondness for each other, while offering powerful communication and conflict management skills.
​
Bringing levity and a lightheartedness to the room, couples will learn through lecture, demonstrations, videos, and activities. No personal sharing is required.

What will you learn?
This workshop provides evidence based tools to help couples improve relationship quality and satisfaction by:

This class combines teaching and demonstrations with one-on-one work sessions where you and your partner focus on your relationship with each other.
Confidentiality is strictly maintained. Although we encourage questions and comments, you do not need to speak in the workshop if you do not want.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will we have to share our personal problems or issues with other couples? No. Self-disclosure is not required. The workshop does not involve sharing your personal issues with others unless you choose to do so. Couples' will do private exercises together privately in breakout sessions.
Can I come to the workshop alone if I can't convince my partner to attend? That depends. The registration fee is for a couple. There are opportunities to actively engage with your partner during the workshop. However, if your partner decides not come, or if you wish to sign up on your own, you are welcome to attend. The registration fee is the same if you attend with your partner or by yourself. Contact me so we can discuss your unique circumstances.
Should we read The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work before attending? No pre-reading the book is not required. Some couples share that reading The Seven Principles first, enhanced their workshop experience by providing a foundation in the concepts. We will use pre-recorded video role plays to demonstrate how to, and how not to do some of the exercises in order to help participants get the most of each exercise.
Is there a cancellation or refund policy? If you need to cancel, we will roll your registration over to a future workshop date within one year. We appreciate your understanding as the cost of the program does contribute to our ability to host.
