Karina Conrad

Therapist, LCPC

I am experienced working with adolescents, young adults and adults around trauma, anxiety, life transitions, grief, terminal illness, self-esteem and identity to develop greater self-awareness leading to the restoration of purpose and life meaning.  Drawing upon a relational model and a person-centered approach, I believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, connection and freedom.

I am passionate about working with clients with anxiety and grief related to climate change and other losses and stressors in their lives.  I am a climate-aware therapist, who addresses the urgent psychological dimensions of the climate and ecological crisis.  If you are experiencing climate distress/climate anxiety - worry, fear, and distress about the future - or eco-grief, which is sadness related to the current or anticipated losses of the future, I can give you a safe space in which to sort through your feelings, learn to cope more effectively with your anxiety, and grieve the losses you need to grieve.

I also welcome clients looking to utilize their spirituality and/or faith as they seek growth, embracing spirituality as a strength for those who hold it as important in their lives. I offer clients a safe space to integrate their spirituality and/or faith practices in tandem with their psychological and emotional well-being.

I am bilingual and bi-cultural and offer sessions in English and Spanish.
