Kristen Allan
Therapist, LCSW
I am here to help and facilitate the change you want. As a therapist I value the therapeutic relationship
and believe it to be critical in the success of therapy. My goal is to build a strong relationship with my
clients by creating a compassionate, respectful, nonjudgmental, and empathetic environment. I aim to
build a trusting relationship that assists clients in reaching their individual goals. I believe there is no
one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and meet my clients where they are.
Therapy should not just be about our challenges but should also include our strengths and successes. I encourage my clients to connect with their feelings while still seeing the value of laughter, joy and gratitude. In an effort to facilitate change, I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches dependent on my client’s needs, personality and goals for therapy. These approaches will likely include a mix of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy.
I have 13 years of experience working with children aged eight and older, adolescents, adults and families. I have mostly evening and weekend availability and look forward to meeting you.
